29-year old guard Aaron Miles (186-G-83) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Krasnie Krilya and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. He had the game-high 21 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Krasnie Krilya in his team's victory, helping them to beat Kalev/Cramo (#10, 1-7) 83-73. Krasnie Krilya maintains the 4th position in VTB United League . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Krasnie Krilya will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. It's Miles' second year at Krasnie Krilya and it's hard to imagine this team without him. University of Kansas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Miles is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.9apg).
Second best performed player last round was Leon Radosevic (206-C-90) of Lietuvos rytas. He is Croatian center in his first season at Lietuvos rytas. In the last game Radosevic recorded impressive 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Lietuvos rytas to edge slightly lower-ranked BC Donetsk (#7, 3-5) in overtime by 2 points 99-97. This victory allowed Lietuvos rytas to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Radosevic is a newcomer at Lietuvos rytas and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to center Paul Davis (211-C-84) of league's leader Khimky. Davis scored 22 points. He was a key player of Khimky, leading his team to a 91-73 easy win against the lower-ranked Azovmash (#8, 2-6). Khimky confirms their top position in the standings Davis has a very solid season. In 6 games in VTB United League he scored 12.0ppg. He also has 4.3rpg and FGP: 60.5%.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. Lietuvos Rytas and Tautvydas Lydeka (208-C/F-83) have agreed on terms of contract extension. The centre signed a new one-year deal with the Vilnius team. Tautvydas Lydeka joined Lietuvos Rytas back in February. He tallied 8.8 points and 5.0 boards per game in LKL. The centre also notched 7.0 points, 3.3 boards and 1.0 assist per game in VTB League. Unics announced their decision not to renew the contract of head coach Stanislav Eremin . The specialist took over the Kazan team in February. He replaced Aco Petrovic . However Unics finished in just the fifth position in PBL regular season. They also surrendered againt Lokomotiv Kuban at the quarterfinal stage of the VTB League. On top of it Unics lost to Valencia in the first round of EuroCup playoffs. [read more]

Last season his stats read 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in EuroCup. In PBL Igor Zamanskiy posted 4.6 points, while in VTB League he delivered 3.2 points per game.
