CSKA capture fourth consecutive title - Jun 8, 2015

Khimky - CSKA 69-99

CSKA earned the VTB League title. They coasted past Khimky on the road to complete the sweep of the championship series. CSKA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 63.3 percent from the field and made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game, while Khimky only scored seven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Khimky 36-20 including a 30-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for CSKA especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when CSKA made 7 blocks. 27 personal fouls committed by Khimky helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Viktor Khryapa (203-82, agency: Alti Sport) who scored 8 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Paul Davis (211-84, college: Michigan St.) who recorded 20 points and Sergey Monya (202-83) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four Khimky players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
