Sean Denison
BC Nizhny Novgorod (VTB) signed 32-year old Canadian ex-international center Sean Denison (210-112kg-85, college: Santa Clara, agency: 011 Sports). He played last season at CSM CSU Oradea in Romanian Liga Nationala. Denison managed to play in three leagues last year. In 38 Liga Nationala games he had 10.9ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.6apg and 1.0bpg. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final and to the league semifinals. A very impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Honorable Mention. Denison also played 2 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 14.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.5apg, 2.0spg and 1.5bpg. And finally he contributed to 18 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 11.3ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3bpg.
Denison ended the previous (2015-16) season at Twarde Pierniki in Polish PLK. In 12 games he got 7.3ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.0apg. But the most of that year he spent at Socar Petkim in Turkish TBL. In 21 games he got remarkable 16.1ppg, 8.5rpg and 2.0apg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Denison played in the final of Romanian League in 2014. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TB2L Center of the Year back in 2008.
Denison was a member of Canadian international program for some years. He was called to Canadian Senior National Team back in 2007 and previously for U21 National Team in 2004.
Denison has played also professionally in Germany (Eisbaeren Bremerhaven), Turkey (Tofas) and Russia (Spartak Primorie Vladivostok and Ataman).
He attended Santa Clara University until 2007 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
Denison could be described: Sean Denison was the WCC Co-Player of the Year in 2007 and has NBA potential. He has a great post-up game, runs like a deer and has a tremendous shooting touch for a big man.
