Regular Season Round 4: CAI Zaragoza - FCB Regal 50-65 (15-21, 12-16, 10-16, 13-12)
Date: October 21, 2012 There was a minor upset when higher ranked CAI Zaragoza (2-2) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Regal FC Barcelona (2-2) 65-50 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Regal FC Barcelona. CAI Zaragoza was better in fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Pete Mickeal (199-78, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds and Australian power forward Nathan Jawai (208-86, college: Midland CC) who added 8 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Regal FC Barcelona's coach Xavier Pascual used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Croatian forward Damjan Rudez (208-86) responded with 14 points and Dutch center Henk Norel (214-87) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated CAI Zaragoza. Regal FC Barcelona will face CB Canarias (#16) in Tenerife in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
