Date: October 29, 2012 The game between Top Four teams took place in Varese. Leader host Cimberio Varese (5-0) defeated 3rd placed Cantu (3-2) 77-73. American power forward Bryant Dunston (202-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Nigerian-American swingman Ebi Ere (195-81, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Cimberio Varese players scored in double figures. The former international center Marco Cusin (210-85, agency: Interperformances) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Cantu's coach Andrea Trinchieri rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cimberio Varese have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Banco di Sard. Cantu at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with SAIE3 BO and Acea Virtus RM. Cimberio Varese is looking forward to face Juvecaserta (#13) in Caserta in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cantu will play at home against Air Avellino (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
