It was not sweet in the start of the game for the hosts that lost the first period 20-27. The Italian team increased to 10 points, but the hosts cut it to 51:47 at the halftime. Zalgiris Kaunas added 25-14 in the third quarter and enjoyed 7-point deficit after three quarters. Marko Popovic scored for 89:84 and then Keith Langford made two free throws to reduce to just three points. Omar-Sharif Cook made just one for 89:87 and Ksistof Lavrinovic scored one free throw for 90:87 with 21 seconds to go. Oliver Lafayette went on the free throw line with 3 seconds remaining and increased the victory to 5 points.
Oliver Lafayette paced all the winners with 17 points and Ibrahim Jaaber notched 11. Ksistof Lavrinovic scored 10, while Marko Popovic, Tremmell Darden and Darjus Lavrinovic had 9 apiece. Keith Langford replied with 24 points in the losing effort and Malik Hairston added 21. Antonis Fotsis and Alessandro Gentile had 11 points each in defeat.
