Date: November 2, 2012 Montepaschi Siena claimed a tough home win over Chalon. The victory propelled the Italian champions at 1-3 record in Group B. Chalon suffered the third loss. Bobby Brown carried Siena to the victory with 34 points and 5 assists.
Chalon surprised the hosts with a storming start. The French team posted a 30:23 lead ten minutes into the game. Montepaschi adjusted their offence in the second term. The Italian side cut the deficit at 5-point mark 50:55. Bobby Brown tied the score at 73 late in the third quarter. However Lauvergne gave Chalon a 75:73 lead at the final intermission. Montepaschi started the final period with a 10:2 run to surge ahead. Shelden Williams returned the lead to Chalon however Ress and Bobby Brown made it 88:84 for the hosts with under two minutes remaining. Carraretto and Bobby Brown sank three free throws in the dying seconds to ensure the victory for Siena. David Moss had 12 points, while Mario Kasun added 10 points for the winners. Shelden Williams responded with 28 points and 13 boards for Chalon. Blake Schilb netted 17 points in the loss.
