Regular Season Round 6: CAI Zaragoza - Blusens M. 76-58 (22-10, 24-17, 14-19, 16-12)
Date: November 4, 2012 The most important game in the last round took place in Zaragoza between third ranked Blusens Monbus (4-2) and twelfth ranked CAI Zaragoza (3-3) on Sunday night. Blusens Monbus was defeated by CAI Zaragoza on the road 58-76. The game was mostly controlled by CAI Zaragoza. Blusens Monbus managed to win third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CAI Zaragoza forced 20 Blusens Monbus turnovers. It was a good game for Dutch center Henk Norel (214-87) who led his team to a victory with 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American guard Michael Roll (196-87, college: UCLA) contributed with 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Canadian-Irish forward Levon Kendall (209-84, college: Pittsburgh) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Puerto Rican point guard Andres Rodriguez (184-81, college: American) added 10 points in the effort for Blusens Monbus. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CAI Zaragoza moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Blancos de R. and FCB Regal. Newly promoted Blusens Monbus dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. CAI Zaragoza is looking forward to face higher ranked Asefa Estudiantes (#6) in Madrid in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Blusens Monbus will play at home against UCAM Murcia and is hoping to win this game.
