Date: November 11, 2012 Not a big story in a game in Las Palmas where 14th ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (1-6) was rolled over by seventh ranked G.Canaria 2014 (5-2) 73-52 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by G.Canaria 2014. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. G.Canaria 2014 forced 21 Baloncesto Fuenlabrada turnovers. It was a great evening for American-Azerbaijani power forward Spencer Nelson (202-80, college: Utah St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Australian swingman Brad Newley (199-85, agency: Beo Basket) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Ukrainian Sergii Gladyr (196-88) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Mouhamed Sene (213-86) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for G.Canaria 2014. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Baloncesto Fuenlabrada keeps the fourteenth position with six games lost. G.Canaria 2014 will face UCAM Murcia (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada will play against Regal FC Barcelona.
