It was a key game for the top position in Group A. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 104:81. Real Madrid forced 20 Khimky turnovers. Rudy Fernandez fired 23 points for the winners. Nikola Mirotic chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Five Real Madrid players scored in double figures. Sergey Monya produced 19 points and 4 assists and Zoran Planinic added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side.
Khimky will play next round against Cantu trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Real Madrid will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul.
