Date: November 23, 2012 Montepaschi Siena closed the round with the win over Maccabi Electra on Friday night. The Italian team grabbed valuable 89:87 victory.
The hosts were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 30-22 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for Bobby Brown who led the winners and scored 16 points and 6 assists. Daniel Hackett accounted for 13 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Shawn James came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots) and Lior Eliyahu added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Maccabi T-A in the defeat. Four Montepaschi Siena and five Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures.
The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Montepaschi Siena. Defending Italian champion maintains third place in Group B with 4-3 record behind leader Real Madrid. Defending Israeli champion Maccabi T-A keeps the second position with two games lost. Montepaschi Siena's next round opponent will be Unicaja Malaga at home. Maccabi T-A will play against Chalon/Saor.
