Date: November 29, 2012 Panathinaikos Athens overcame Union Olimpija in Greece in Round 8 of EuroLeague. The Greek side grabbed 5-3 record in Group A after an 80:72 victory. The Slovenian team fell at 2-6 record. Panathinaikos Athens was happy to go on 17-11 lead in front of 5000 local fans in O.A.K.A. Arena. Union Olimpija bounced back with 22-18 in the second frame and reduced to 2 points at the halftime. The third period became decisive in the game as the hosts erupted with 27-16 surge and never looked behind after. Union Olimpija won the last period 23-18 but managed to reduce to final 8 points. Roko-Leni Ukic and Marcus Banks stepped up with 14 points each, while Stephane Lasme nailed 13. Michael Bramos tossed in 11, whilst Jonas Maciulis had 10. Jaka Blazic finished the game with 17 points in the losing effort and Dino Muric posted 16. Klemen Prepelic had 11, whilst Aaron Baynes accounted for 7.
