Date: November 25, 2012 Very expected game when 14th ranked VL Pesaro (2-7) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Juvecaserta (4-5) 77-63 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-63. Juvecaserta dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to VL Pesaro's 18. The best player for the winners was Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St.) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. The former international guard Giuliano Maresca (192-81) chipped in 17 points. Four Juvecaserta players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international point guard Daniele Cavaliero (188-84) who recorded 18 points and American forward Lamont Mack (201-87, college: Charlotte) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Juvecaserta moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Enel Brindisi. VL Pesaro lost their sixth game in a row. Loser VL Pesaro keeps the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Juvecaserta will face higher ranked Cantu (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. VL Pesaro will play against SAIE3 BO (#7) in Bologna.
