Date: November 25, 2012 There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Kazakhstan BC Astana (3-3) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Ukrainian BC Donetsk (3-3) 76-56 on Sunday. The game without a history. BC Donetsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BC Donetsk outrebounded BC Astana 37-23 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Serbian forward Ivan Radenovic (209-84, college: Arizona) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Ramel Curry (192-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Guyanese Rawle Marshall (201-82, college: Oakland, agency: Beo Basket) with 15 points and American center David Simon (208-82, college: IPFW) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Ukrainian champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated BC Astana. BC Donetsk will face PGE Turow (#10) in Zgorzelec in the next round where they are favorite. BC Astana will play at home against the league's leader Spartak St.Petersburg (#1).
