Date: December 6, 2012 Maccabi Electra erupts in the last period in Gdynia of EuroLeague Round 9. The Israeli team needed a strong 29-8 finish to beat Asseco Prokom 89:73.
Asseco Prokom Gdynia looked outstanding for three quarters and felt the support of almost 5000 local fans. They started with 19-15 in the first period and added 23-20 in the second frame. Maccabi Electra woke up with 25-23 in the third period and reduced to 65:60 after three quarters. Lior Eliyahu closed an 11-0 run early in the last period and then Maccabi led the game to a 16-point victory.
Ricky Hickman paced all the winners with 20 points and Lior Eliyahu notched 16. Yogev Ohayon delivered 14, while David Logan had 12. Rasid Mahalbasic finished the game with 14 points in defeat and Jerel Blassingame as well as Mateusz Ponitka tossed in 13 apiece. Lukasz Koszarek and Ryan Richards brought 10 points apiece in a loss.
