Date: December 7, 2012 Panathinaikos entertained the home crowd with the sixth Euroleague win this season. They held off visiting Fenerbahce for 6-3 record in Group A. Andy Panko nailed 15 points to lead well-balanced effort from the Athens Team. Fenerbahce slipped at 4-5 record and would try to seal Top 16 ticket next week. Fenerbahce led by two points after the starting quarter 14:12. But Panathinaikos turned on their trademark defence and held the Turkish team to 9 points in the second quarter. The hosts pulled ahead for a 29:23 halftime advantage. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the third term. Panathinaikos secured a 6-point lead before the fourth frame. The tempo increased in the final term as the home team unloaded 26 points and sealed the victory. Sofoklis Schortsanitis dropped 11 points, while Dimitris Diamantidis and Marcus Banks added 9 points each for the winners. Romain Sato answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds for Fenerbahce. David Andersen posted 8 points in the loss.
