Regular Season Round 9: Chalon - Montepaschi 108-103 OT (27-24, 22-24, 21-27, 23-18, 15-10)
Date: December 7, 2012 Chalon celebrated the third victory in EuroLeague Group B. They shot down visiting Montepaschi in overtime drama. Blake Schilb came up with 28 points and 7 rebounds to pace the home side. Siena fell at 5-4 record after the loss. Chalon dropped 27 points in the first ten minutes to take a 3-point lead. Montepaschi cut the distance to a single point after a high-flying first half 48:49. The Italian champions jumped ahead in the third quarter. The visitors ensured a 75:70 lead with ten minutes left in regulation. David Moss and Kristjan Kangur made sure Siena led by two points 93:91 with 28 seconds remaining in the normal time. But Tchicamboud converted a layup to send the clash into overtime. Blake Schilb and Cedric Banks dropped five straight points midway through the extra period to give Chalon a 101:97 lead. Tomas Ress and Bobby Brown kept Siena in the game but free throws from Evtimov and Tchicamboud helped the hosts seal the win. Adolphe Michel Jean-Baptiste delivered 20 points, while Shelden Williams added 15 points for the home team. Bobby Brown answered with 26 points for Montepaschi. Tomas Ress had 13 points in the loss.
