Date: December 9, 2012 An interesting game took place in Muenchen where 8th ranked Telekom Baskets (5-6) were upseton the court of eleventh ranked Bayern Muenchen (6-6) 104-91. Telekom Baskets were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 67-53 second half run of Bayern Muenchen. They outrebounded Telekom Baskets 41-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Telekom Baskets helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for international Robin Benzing (209-89) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. International Jan-Hendrik Jagla (211-81, college: Penn St.) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American-Jamaican forward Patrick Ewing Jr. (203-84, college: Georgetown) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Jared Jordan (188-84, college: Marist) added 8 points and 10 assists in the effort for Telekom Baskets. Five Bayern Muenchen and four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bayern Muenchen moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bayreuth. Telekom Baskets at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost.
