Date: December 9, 2012 Very expected game when 16th ranked Assignia Manresa (1-10) was defeated at home by seventh ranked CAI Zaragoza (7-4) 82-75. It looked good early as Assignia Manresa took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then CAI Zaragoza had a 25-13 second period charge getting the lead and Assignia Manresa was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-82. They outrebounded Assignia Manresa 38-21 including a 31-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Michael Roll (196-87, college: UCLA) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Dutch center Henk Norel (214-87) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. American guard Troy DeVries (193-82, college: N.Mexico) came up with 24 points and center Oliver Arteaga (211-83) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Assignia Manresa in the defeat. Five Assignia Manresa players scored in double figures. CAI Zaragoza moved-up to fifth place, which they share with FCB Regal. Assignia Manresa at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with ten games lost. CAI Zaragoza's next round opponent will be Unicaja Malaga (#9) at home.
