Date: December 9, 2012 Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Air Avellino (3-8) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Lottomatica Roma (7-4) 94-79. The game was mostly controlled by Lottomatica Roma. Air Avellino was better in third quarter 28-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Lottomatica Roma won last quarter 24-11. They made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Air Avellino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Phil Goss (186-83, college: Drexel) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line).
