Regular Season Round 10: Montepaschi - Asseco Prok. 88-95 OT (26-13, 25-15, 12-24, 13-24, 12-19)
Date: December 13, 2012 Asseco Prokom capped their Euroleague campaign with an impressive road win over Montepaschi. Jerel Blassingame fired 26 points to pace the Polish powerhouse to just the second win at the tournament. Montepaschi slipped at 5-5 record in Group B.
The game seemed in control of the hosts in the opening quarter. Siena grabbed a 26:13 lead ten minutes into the game. The margin grew to as many as 23 points at halftime 51:28. However Asseco Prokom refused to give up. The Polish team turned things around in the third quarter. The visitors triggered a 24:12 run to get within 11 points. Asseco Prokom denied the deficit and Ponitka put them in front 76:73 with under two minutes left in regulation. Bobby Brown answered with a triple of his own and sent the game into overtime. Jerel Blassingame put Asseco Prokom in front early in the extra period. Soon the visitors opened a 6-point lead. The hosts got within two however Lukasz Koszarek and Richards sealed the victory from the penalty line. Lukasz Koszarek nailed 20 points, while Rasid Mahalbasic added 18 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Bobby Brown netted 23 points for Montepaschi Siena. Matt Janning chipped in 11 points in defeat.
