Cholet Basket needed victory to advance into Last 16 stage however failed to deliver. Josh Carter, Loukas Mavrokefalidis and Patrick Beverley chipped in 15 points each to lead the charge. Spartak SP fired 27 points in the opening quarter to take a 7-point lead. Cholet Basket managed to adjust their defence and narrowed the gap at 4-point mark 38:42. The hosts pulled ahead in the third term. Cholet arrived at the final intermission up by 2 points 57:55. However Spartak turned things around in the final frame. They opened the fourth term with 11 straight points to spur ahead. The margin grew at 11-point mark midway through the fourth stanza and Spartak cruised to the victory at the end. Zach Wright provided 11 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds in the win. Cholet answered with 19 points from Derrick Obasohan. Karim Souchu had 13 points in the loss.
