Date: December 14, 2012 Olympiakos capped EuroLeague regular season with a tough home win over Emporio Armani. The victory propelled the Piraeus team at 8-2 record in the second position in Group C. Emporio Armani fell at 3-7 record in the fifth place in the ladder. Vassilis Spanoulis delivered 18 points to lead the winners. Emporio Armani enjoyed a 19:16 lead ten minutes into the game. But Olympiakos speeded things up in the second term. The hosts erupted for 29 points in the quarter to take a 45:38 halftime lead. Emporio Armani however erased the deficit as Alessandro Gentile and Keith Langford made it 62:62 heading into the fourth period. Kyle Hines ensured a 72:66 lead for the hosts midway through the fourth stanza. Keith Langford returned the advantage to the Italian team soon. Emporio Armani surged ahead for a 75:74 lead with just over two minutes to go. The lead then changed hands for several times before Papanikolaou sank a three-pointer to make it 81:79. Malik Hairston and Acie Law dropped one free throw each as Olympiakos remained in front with 19 seconds remaining. Keith Langford also split free throws to put Emporio Armani within one. He had a chance to win it for the visitors but missed a jumper at the buzzer. Kyle Hines notched 16 points, while Acie Law added 14 points for the hosts. Keith Langford answered with 21 points for Emporio Armani. Ioannis Bourousis and Alessandro Gentile netted 13 points each in the loss.
