Date: December 16, 2012 Everything went according to plan in Zgorzelec where third ranked Russian Unics Kazan (7-2) beat 9th ranked Polish PGE Turow (2-7) 69-64 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 15-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Mire Chatman (187-78, college: UTPA, agency: Higher Vision Sports) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Chuck Eidson (203-80, college: S.Carolina, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Unics Kazan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was French-Polish forward Aaron Cel (203-87) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Bosnian-Croatian Ivan Opacak (201-80, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Unics Kazan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Khimky. Loser PGE Turow dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. Unics Kazan will face BC Donetsk (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. PGE Turow will play against Kalev/Cramo in Tallinn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
