Date: December 22, 2012 The Mad Ants erased a 22-point halftime deficit in one quarter's time but ran out of gas in another road loss. Springfield withstood the Ants' comeback and beat Fort Wayne 107-101 on Saturday at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass. Fort Wayne trailed 63-41 at halftime, but outscored Springfield 38-16 in the third quarter. The Ants took the lead and were up 100-96 with 2:20 left but could not close out the game. Tony Mitchell led the Ants with 27 points while Walker Russell Jr. scored 22 points with seven rebounds and six assists. JaJuan Johnson had a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. The Ants dropped to 3-10 on the season and will be off until a home game against Texas on Friday. James Mays led Springfield (4-5) with 20 points.
