Date: December 23, 2012 The most important game in the last round took place in Oostende between third ranked Spirou Charleroi (5-4) and fourth ranked Base Oostende (6-4) on Sunday night. Spirou Charleroi was defeated by Base Oostende in a tough game on the road 60-69. Spirou Charleroi was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 9-point lead after three quarters before a 27-9 charge of Base Oostende, which allowed them to win the game. Slovenian forward Dragisa Drobnjak (200-77, agency: Beo Basket) scored 16 points to lead the charge for the winners and American Wesley Wilkinson (207-84, college: Nebraska) chipped in 7 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Derrick Allen (203-80, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro One Sports) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Spirou Charleroi at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Base Oostende are looking forward to face Leuven Bears (#7) on the road in the next round. Spirou Charleroi will play against Antwerp Giants and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
