Date: December 22, 2012 Important game to mention about took place in Gdynia. Fourth ranked Asseco Prok. (9-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging much higher ranked AZS Koszalin (8-5) 66-64 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-13. But AZS Koszalin won second period 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Adam Hrycaniuk (206-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Robert Witka (205-81) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Jeff Robinson (198-88, college: Seton Hall) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import swingman Michael Kuebler (195-82, college: Hawaii, agency: Alti Sport) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for AZS Koszalin. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Stelmet ZG and Trefl Sopot. AZS Koszalin at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Asseco Prok. will play against Kotwica (#8) in Kolobrzeg in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. AZS Koszalin will play on the road against the league's second-placed Trefl Sopot and hopes to get back on the winning track.
