Date: December 6, 2012 There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Randers (4-10) smashed at home second-ranked Bakken (12-2) 111-81 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Randers. Bakken was better in fourth quarter 23-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Randers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Bakken's 38. They outrebounded Bakken 44-30 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Randers looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Forward Damian Ocana (198-86) stepped up and scored 32 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) chipped in 22 points and 14 rebounds. International forward Morten Sahlertz (198-89) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Randers moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Horsholm. Defending champion Bakken keeps the second position with two games lost. Randers will face higher ranked SISU (#4) in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bakken will play at home against the league's leader Svendborg and will have a slim chance for a victory.
