Date: December 23, 2012 No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Cantu (8-4) smashed on the road 13th ranked Sutor Montegranaro (3-9) 100-79 on Sunday. The game without a history. Cantu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Cantu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Sutor Montegranaro was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was the former international Pietro Aradori (195-88) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Georgian Manuchar Markoishvili (196-86) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Cantu players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80) who recorded 23 points and Canadian-British guard Kyle Johnson (195-88, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 14 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cantu maintains fourth position with 8-4 record. Loser Sutor Montegranaro keeps the thirteenth place with nine games lost. Cantu will face Trenkwalder RE (#7) in Reggio Emilia in the next round. Sutor Montegranaro will play on the road against VL Pesaro (#16).
