Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Blusens Monbus (8-7) defeated bottom-ranked Lagun Aro GBC (2-13) in Santoago de Comp 71-60. Lagun Aro GBC was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 22-4 third quarter run of Blusens Monbus. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lagun Aro GBC to just 4 points in third quarter. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican point guard Andres Rodriguez (184-81, college: American) who scored 9 points and 9 assists. Czech Pavel Pumprla (198-86) chipped in 15 points.
