Date: December 29, 2012 There was no surprise when 14th ranked Olin Edirne (3-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Karsiyaka (10-3) 82-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Karsiyaka. Olin Edirne was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Jon Diebler (198-88, college: Ohio St.) fired 24 points for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Bobby Dixon (178-83, college: Troy, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Greek forward Christos Tapoutos (203-82) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski (210-87, college: Radford) added 13 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Karsiyaka moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Galatasaray. Olin Edirne lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Karsiyaka will face Erdemir (#8) on the road in the next round. Olin Edirne will play against Tofas (#10) in Bursa.
