Date: January 6, 2013 Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Lithuanian Neptunas (1-9) were outplayed on the road by second ranked Russian CSKA Moscow (9-1) 79-57 on Sunday. CSKA Moscow dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas' 30. They outrebounded Neptunas 44-28 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. CSKA Moscow looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) fired 15 points for the winners. Serbian center Nenad Krstic (212-83) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. Four CSKA Moscow players scored in double figures. Forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) produced 10 points (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Deividas Gailius (200-88) added 10 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA Moscow have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending Russian champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Zalgiris. Neptunas lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with nine games lost. CSKA Moscow will face Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Neptunas will play against VEF Riga.
