Top 16 Round 3: Anadolu Efes - ALBA 71-62 (16-19, 19-11, 17-14, 19-18)
Date: January 11, 2013 Anadolu Efes clinched the second win in EuroLeague Top 16. Jordan Farmar and Dusko Savanovic produced 15 points each to pace the winners. ALBA kept the intrigue alive throughout the entire 40 minutes but Anadolu Efes survived the challenge to claim the win.
ALBA set the tone early in the encounter. The German team gained the lead and rattled off a 19:16 advantage after ten minutes. Anadolu Efes adjusted defensively in the second frame. The Turkish team held the Berliners to 11 points and eked out a 35:30 halftime lead. Anadolu Efes kept ALBA at distance throughout the third term. The hosts piled up a 52:44 advantage heading into the fourth frame. ALBA narrowed the gap at 4-point mark midway through the final term 54:58. However Dusko Dusko Savanovic answered with a triple and then followed with two free throws to make it 63:54 lead. Dashaun Wood and Deon Thomspon dragged the visitors within three points 62:65 with 58 seconds remaining. Jamon Lukas Gordon then sank four points in a row and sealed the win for the hosts. Kerem Tunceri nailed 11 points for Anadolu Efes. Deon Thompson answered with 15 points and 11 boards for ALBA. Je'Kel Foster chipped in 11 points in defeat.
