Date: January 6, 2013 There was no surprise in Santoago de Comp where 12th ranked Blancos de Rueda (6-10) was outplayed by eighth ranked Blusens Monbus (9-7) 89-56 on Sunday. The game without a history. Blusens Monbus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Blancos de Rueda's 26. They outrebounded Blancos de Rueda 36-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Blusens Monbus looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Tunisian center Salah Mejri (217-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian-Irish forward Levon Kendall (209-84, college: Pittsburgh) who added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side naturalized Bosnian center Nedzad Sinanovic (221-83) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jordi Grimau (195-83) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Blusens Monbus moved-up to seventh place, which they share with FCB Regal. Blancos de Rueda lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. Blusens Monbus will face FIATC Joventut (#11) in Badalona in the next round. Blancos de Rueda will play at home against CAI Zaragoza.
