Date: January 17, 2013 CSKA made it look easy as they cruised past Zalgiris in Kaunas tonight. Milos Teodosic exploded with 24 points to lead the Moscow powerhouse to the fourth straight win in Top 16. It was an intense start for both teams. CSKA got to a slightly better start as they grabbed a 9:2 lead. But Zalgiris slowly cut the deficit and got within one at the first break 15:16. Lafayette and Popovic put the Lithuanian team in front early in the second term. The lead changed hands numerous times throughout the quarter. However CSKA capped the half with seven straight points to take a 38:31 lead. Vladimir Micov and Milos Teodosic teamed up for 16 points in the third term as CSKA opened a comfortable 65:51 lead at the final intermission. The visitors opened the fourth term with four points in a row to gain an 18-point lead. Zalgiris were able to cut the margin to 10 points with just over three minutes remaining. However Kaun and Vladimir Micov connected for important points and CSKA rolled to the victory in the final minutes. Vladimir Micov knocked down 20 points, while Viktor Khryapa added 15 points for the winning team. Marko Popovic delivered 16 points for Zalgiris. Tremmell Darden netted 12 points in the loss.
