This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to fifth ranked Russian BC Nizhny Novgorod (6-5) 55-54 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 55-54. It was an exceptional evening for Slovenian power forward Primoz Brezec (216-79) who led the winners and scored 16 points. American swingman Dijon Thompson (201-83, college: UCLA) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. BC Nizhny Novgorod's coach Zoran Lukic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Aliaksandr Kudrautsau (190-80) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Pavel Ulyanko (204-79) added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Tsmoki-Minsk in the defeat. BC Nizhny Novgorod maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Tsmoki-Minsk lost their eleventh game in a row. Defending Belarusian champion still closes the standings with 11 games lost. BC Nizhny Novgorod will meet at home Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#6) in the next round. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against Lokomotiv (#4) in Kuban and hopes to get finally their first victory.
