Date: January 13, 2013 Very expected game when 8th ranked Czech CEZ Nymburk (4-7) was smashed by fourth ranked Russian Lokomotiv (7-4) in Kuban 75-54 on Sunday. The game without a history. Lokomotiv led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lithuanian Simas Jasaitis (202-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points. Australian center Aleks Maric (211-84, college: Nebraska) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Lokomotiv's coach Evgeny Pashutin felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jiri Welsch (199-80) answered with 11 points and 8 assists and Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (197-84, college: CS Northridge) added 11 points in the effort for CEZ Nymburk. Lokomotiv maintains fourth place with 7-4 record. Defending Czech champion CEZ Nymburk dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Lokomotiv will face Tsmoki-Minsk (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. CEZ Nymburk will play against Triumph Lyubertsy in Lubertsy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
