Date: January 24, 2013 Fenerbahce recorded the initial victory in EuroLeague Top 16 round. They held off visiting Khimky for 1-4 record in Group F. Bojan Bogdanovic delivered 26 points to pace the winners. Khimky enjoyed a slightly better start to the game. They led by two points after ten minutes of action 19:17. The visitors maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. Khimky posted a 40:36 halftime advantage. The margin grew at 7-point mark early in the third term. However Fenerbahce gradually turned things around. They capped the period with a 6:2 run to spur ahead 56:54. The teams went neck and neck for some time in the final quarter. However David Andersen and Kaya Peker gave Fenerbahce a 77:72 lead with under two minutes remaining in regulation. Zoran Planinic and Bo McCalebb exchanged free throws but then Zoran Planinic followed with four points in a row to cut the deficit to a single point. However Uros Tripkovic went perfect from the stripe in the dying seconds to seal the initial win for the hosts at this stage of the tournament. David Andersen notched 18 points, while Bo McCalebb added 16 points for the winners. Zoran Planinic answered with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for Khimky. Paul Davis provided 12 points in the loss.
