Date: January 24, 2013 Vassilis Spanoulis hit a jumper with under a minute to go in regulation to put Olympiacos in front 78:77 against Maccabi in Tel-Aviv. The fans then witnessed two misses from Ohayon and one from Devin Smith as the Reds got away with a dramatic road win. The victory propelled Olympiacos at 2-3 record in Group F. Maccabi continued with their downfall as they slipped at 1-4. Olympiacos opened the game with five points in a row and dominated throughout the first frame. They gained a 19:9 lead midway through the first quarter. Sloukas made it 30:16 for the visitors late in the term. Maccabi struggled to cut the deficit in the second term. The visitors stayed comfortably on top heading into the dressing room ahead by 11 points 44:33. Maccabi opened the second half with a 7:2 run to narrow the distance. The hosts quickly got within striking distance and shortly after Ohayon put Maccabi in front 56:55. The Israeli team posted a 62:57 lead at the third break. Vassilis Spanoulis and Sloukas opened the fourth frame with back-to-back three-pointers to turn things the Reds way. But not for long as Maccabi regained the lead 74:68 midway through the period. Maccabi entered the final two minutes of regulation up by three points 77:74. But Kyle Hines converted a layup and then Vassilis Spanoulis followed with a jumper to seal the victory for the Hellenes. Vassilis Spanoulis accounted for 24 points, while Georgios Printezis added 16 points and 6 boards for the winning team. Devin Smith answered with 17 points for Maccabi Tel-Aviv. David Logan chipped in 15 points in the loss.
