Date: January 27, 2013 Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked CB Canarias (7-12) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked CAI Zaragoza (11-8) 81-67 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 42-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American guard Michael Roll (196-87, college: UCLA) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Croatian forward Damjan Rudez (208-86) helped adding 15 points. Four CAI Zaragoza players scored in double figures. At the losing side Montenegrin center Blagota Sekulic (209-82, agency: FCM) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CAI Zaragoza moved-up to sixth place, which they share with FCB Regal. Newly promoted CB Canarias keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. CAI Zaragoza will face Asefa Estudiantes (#9) in Madrid in the next round. CB Canarias will play at home against Cajasol (#13) in Sevilla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
