Date: February 1, 2013 No shocking result in a game in Samokov where third ranked Rilski Sportist (11-4) defeated 6th ranked Euroins Cherno More (6-8) 100-83 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Rilski Sportist. Euroins Cherno More managed to win second period 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rilski Sportist had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American point guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. International Hristo Zahariev (197-90) helped adding 20 points. The best for the losing side was international Tihomir Zhelev (193-90) with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Vasil Kyosev (195-90) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rilski Sportist have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Lukoil Academik. Euroins Cherno More at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Rilski Sportist will meet Tundja Yambol (#5) on the road in the next round. Euroins Cherno More will play against the league's second-placed Levski Sofia and hope to secure a win.
