Date: February 2, 2013 Not a big story in a game in Lubertsy where bottom-ranked Belarusian Tsmoki-Minsk (0-13) was defeated by sixth ranked Russian Triumph Lyubertsy (6-7) 80-66 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 50-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Triumph Lyubertsy dominated on the defensive end, holding Tsmoki-Minsk to just 7 points in third quarter. Triumph Lyubertsy forced 19 Tsmoki-Minsk turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Sergey Karasev (202-93) fired 18 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Four Triumph Lyubertsy players scored in double figures. Triumph Lyubertsy's coach Vasiliy Karasev used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Aliaksandr Kudrautsau (190-80) produced 22 points and Australian forward Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) added 12 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for lost side. Triumph Lyubertsy maintains sixth place with 6-7 record. Tsmoki-Minsk lost their thirteenth game in a row. Defending Belarusian champion still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Triumph Lyubertsy will face higher ranked BC Nizhny Novgorod (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against Neptunas (#9) in Klaipeda and hopes to get finally their first victory.
