The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 47-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Zvezda made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Partizan was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Igor Rakocevic (191-78) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Center Rasko Katic (208-80, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Zvezda players scored in double figures. Latvian Davis Bertans (203-92) answered with 23 points and 5 rebounds and French guard Leo Westermann (198-92, agency: Beo Basket) added 10 points and 6 assists in the effort for Partizan. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Zvezda. They maintain second place with 15-6 record behind leader Igokea. Defending Serbian champion Partizan keeps the third position with eight games lost. Zvezda will face Krka (#9) in Novo Mesto in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Partizan will play at home against Un.Olimpija (#7) in Ljubljana.
