Date: February 22, 2013 Real Madrid overcame rather a sloppy performance to hold off visiting Alba in Madrid tonight. Jaycee Carroll scored 16 points to lead the winners. Real started quite confidently. The hosts piled up a 20:14 lead after ten minutes. But Alba picked up the tempo in the second frame. The German powerhouse trimmed the deficit to just a single point 34:33 at halftime. The visitors silenced the home fans in the third term. Alba erased the deficit and pulled ahead for a 50:48 advantage with one quarter remaining. But Real improved their performance in the dying minutes of the game and sealed the victory at the end. Rudy Fernandez had 14 points, while Nikola Mirotic had 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winning team. Deon Thompson answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds for Alba. DaShaun Wood and Yassin Idbihi accounted for 11 points each in the loss.
