Date: February 23, 2013 There was no surprise in Bilbao where 18th ranked Lagun Aro GBC (4-18) was outplayed by fourth ranked Gescrap BB (14-8) 91-72. The game was mostly controlled by Gescrap BB. Lagun Aro GBC was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Greek swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84, agency: FCM) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. Greek guard Nikolaos Zisis (197-83) contributed with 21 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Center David Doblas (206-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Qyntel Woods (203-81, college: N.Mississippi JC) added 19 points in the effort for Lagun Aro GBC. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Gescrap BB moved-up to third place, which they share with FCB Regal. Lagun Aro GBC at the other side stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Gescrap BB's next round opponent will be Unicaja Malaga (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Lagun Aro GBC will play against Assignia Manresa (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
