Date: February 23, 2013 Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Boulazac Basket (5-15) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Cholet (9-11) 86-75 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Cholet. Boulazac Basket was better in fourth quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, college: W.Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 assists and forward Marcus Goree (201-77, college: W.Virginia) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: George Mason, agency: SportsTalent) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and Amadi McKenzie (201-86, college: Tenn Tech) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. Cholet moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Orleans. Newly promoted Boulazac Basket stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Cholet will face higher ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#5) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Boulazac Basket will play against Poitiers (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
