Regular Season Round 48: Tulsa 66ers - Iowa E. 102-89 (27-26, 27-17, 30-21, 18-25)
Date: February 26, 2013 The Tulsa 66ers topped the Iowa Energy, 102-89, on Tuesday night at the SpiritBank Event Center with six Tulsa players scoring in double figures. The 66ers were led by NBA veterans Chris Quinn (20 points, three rebounds, six assists), Andy Rautins (19 points, two rebounds, four assists) and Rasual Butler (15 points, four rebounds, four assists). Ron Anderson collected a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Taylor and Dominique Sutton scored 13 and 12 points, respectively. Tulsa is 14-2 this season when five or more players score in double figures, a feat its accomplished in eight of the last 10 games. With the win, Tulsa now holds a season-best four game winning streak. The streak has been defined by balanced scoring and strong defense. The 66ers have held their opponents to 90 or less points in four consecutive games - a first in program history. During the four-game streak, Tulsa's opponents have averaged 83.5 points per game. "Our defensive effort was really good tonight and the last couple of games," said Tulsa Head Coach Darko Rajakovic. "The guys are doing a great job of playing together. When you have five guys working together on the defensive end you get a lot of defensive stops and a lot of chances to run in fast break." Tulsa (19-15) outrebounded the Energy 41-30, marking the third-straight game the 66ers have grabbed 10 or more rebounds than their opponent.
