Date: February 28, 2013 Montepaschi eased past Fenerbahce in Siena tonight. The victory propelled the Italian champions at 7-2 record in Group F. Aleksandar Rasic led well-balanced effort with 16 points for the hosts.
Montepaschi led by just three points after ten minutes of action 21:18. However the hosts erupted for 28 points in the second frame to clear off. The Siena outfit established a comfortable 49:35 halftime advantage. Fenerbahce stopped the rot in the third term. The Turkish team adjusted their defence and limited Siena to 16 points in the period. Fenerbahce were able to get within 12 points at the final intermission. Montepaschi regained composure in the final quarter and raced to a confident win at the end. Daniel Hackett netted 13 points, while David Moss and Bobby Brown contributed 12 points each for the winners. Bojan Bogdanovic answered with 22 points for Fenerbahce. Bo McCalebb netted 10 points in the loss.
