Date: March 2, 2013 Very important is a home loss of second ranked Stelmet ZG (14-7) against twelfth ranked Rosa Radom (5-16) on Saturday night. Host Stelmet ZG was defeated by Rosa Radom in a tough game in Zielona Gora 96-100. Stelmet ZG trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 32-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 96-100 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Nic Wise (178-87, college: Arizona) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. Serbian swingman Slavisa Bogavac (200-80, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 27 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian power forward Oliver Stevic (204-84, agency: Beo Basket) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Stelmet ZG players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rosa Radom moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Start Gdynia. Loser Stelmet ZG keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Asseco Prok. and Trefl Sopot. Rosa Radom will meet at home higher ranked Kotwica (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stelmet ZG will play against the league's leader PGE Turow (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
