Date: March 2, 2013 Top ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (15-6) recorded its sixth loss on the court of third ranked Chalon/Saor. Visitors were edged by Chalon/Saor in overtime 69-67. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Gravelines-Dunkerque. Gravelines-Dunkerque was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 14-6 third quarter run of Chalon/Saor. They tied the game at the end of regular time. Then they were better in overtime eventually winning that period 12-10. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Gravelines-Dunkerque to just 6 points in third quarter. Chalon/Saor brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Defending champion maintains third place with 13-7 record having just three points less than leader Gravelines. Gravelines-Dunkerque at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Strasbourg. Chalon/Saor will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Poitiers (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
